$975,000 for Man Abused by a Priest in Grade School

Cook County, IL: Lane Brown, LLC attorneys Mark A. Brown and Kellie J. Snyder obtained a $975,000 settlement on behalf of our client.

A man, now 54, alleged that he was sexually abused multiple times by a former, now-deceased priest when he was in seventh and eighth grade at a Catholic grade school. He recovered memories of the abuse in 2023.

The defendants denied negligence. The Archdiocese of Chicago paid the settlement, and the claim was resolved without a lawsuit being filed.
