$350,000 for Pedestrian Hit by a Backing Pickup Truck

Cook County, IL: Lane Brown, LLC attorneys Scott D. Lane and Nicholas J. Kamenjarin obtained a $350,000 settlement on behalf of our client.

In June 2022, a 71-year-old woman was crossing the street when the driver of a Ford F-450 truck backed into her and knocked her down. Her injuries included a fractured left ankle, nasal fractures, and a deviated septum that required septoplasty. She continues to experience ankle pain and emotional distress.

The driver argued that her conditions were preexisting. The crash was caused by the driver’s negligent operation of the truck, and a confidential driver paid the settlement.

Settlement: $350,000
