Award Description
Super Lawyers is an independent third-party organization that recognizes attorneys with significant professional achievements. Each year, the team at Super Lawyers generates a list of the top five percent of attorneys in the country.
Selection Criteria
Super Lawyers uses a patented multi-phase, peer-influenced, and research-driven selection process. Attorneys are initially nominated by their peers. The pool of nominees is then independently evaluated based on 12 indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition. Candidates who receive the highest marks during the independent evaluation are then welcomed to serve on the Blue Ribbon Panel, where they eventually select other outstanding attorneys in their own practice area.

Award Description
Best Lawyers offers peer-reviewed recognition of the best legal professionals around the world. Only five percent of U.S. lawyers and three percent of global lawyers are recognized each year.
Selection Criteria
Best Lawyers uses the Purely Peer Review® system to select award recipients. Lawyers are nominated by peers or themselves. The nominations are then reviewed by currently recognized Best Lawyers attorneys. Based on that feedback, candidates are selected, screened for eligibility, and added to the Best Lawyers list.

Award Description
Elite Lawyer highlights the top-rated legal professionals in the nation to help prospective clients find reputable attorneys who excel in a specific legal practice.
Selection Criteria
To be selected as an Elite Lawyer, an attorney must first be nominated by a peer, the Elite Lawyer advisory panel, or through a third party. Once nominated, each candidate is thoroughly reviewed by the advisory panel to ensure that they have the experience, honors, credentials, and reputation befitting of an Elite Lawyer award winner. The small percentage of attorneys who meet the Elite Lawyer’s strict criteria are then added to the existing list of Elite Lawyers, where prospective clients can easily locate them.
