$475,000 for Man Abused by a Priest as a Child

Cook County, IL: Lane Brown, LLC attorneys Mark A. Brown and Noah A. Brown obtained a $475,000 settlement on behalf of our client.

A man, now 39, alleged that he was sexually abused by a Catholic priest in or around 1994, when he was a child attending an after-school program at St. Francis Borgia school in Chicago. The abuse occurred in a secluded area of the school building. He reported long-term effects, including distrust of authority and difficulty in relationships.

The Archdiocese of Chicago paid the settlement. The claim was resolved without a lawsuit being filed.
